I loved dancing to the music of the Cuban orchestra Sonora Matancera.
Among my favorite songs were Tu Rica Boca, El Gavilan and Sabrosito Asi.
Of course, this popular group recorded dozens of songs.
Although Los Cuatro Hermanos Silva are Chilean, their beautiful music was very popular throughout Mexico, Central and South America when I was there in the early 1960s. My favorite is Cuando Tu Me Quieras. I also loved Escribeme and Carnavalito Quebradeno. But everything they sing is beautiful.
This week I would like to introduce you to Los Tres Caballeros whom I met in Mexico City in 1957. Leader of the Trio was Roberto Cantoral, who composed many hit songs. My favorite three songs written by Roberto Cantoral and sung by Los Tres Caballeros are:
